Location: West Village, NYC
Ages of children: 1.5 and 3.5 years old.
Start date: ideally mid-January
General schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, approximately 12pm – 10:30/11pm, with flexibility needed.
Summers in the Hamptons – arrive on Friday evening and leave on Sunday afternoon.
Guaranteed 60 hours per month.
The schedule will be provided at least 2 weeks in advance.
The Ideal Candidate:
• This position is ideal for a nanny seeking a steady, long-term weekend position with a family with which they can grow.
• Someone warm, positive, upbeat, caring, attentive, and has a lot of energy to keep up with the children!
• A Nanny with significant experience working with multiple children in the same family, specifically infants and toddlers, is knowledgeable about children’s development & genuinely loves caring for them.
• Flexible with scheduling.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Actively engaging the children in fun, age-appropriate activities – getting on the ground and playing with them, games, indoor and outdoor play, arts & crafts, having fun, etc.
• Taking the children to parks, activities, and playdates.
• Accompanying the family to playdates, meals, outings, etc.
• Preparing meals for the children.
• Bedtime and bathtime routines.
• Supporting the children’s healthy hygiene.
• Maintaining the children’s napping and eating schedules.
• Children’s laundry.
• Keeping the home’s main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant nanny experience.
• Experience with infants and toddlers.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• 2-3 relevant references.
• Comfortability caring for children in and near water.
• Vaccinated against Covid-19 and willing to get a yearly flu shot.
Pluses but not requirements:
• Spanish speaking
• Ability to drive
Compensation: Competitive salary starting at $35.00 per hour to approximately $40.00 per hour, or higher, depending on experience and credentials
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends only
