Purchasing Agent/Inside Sales

Overview
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires quality materials and services at competitive prices. This position requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of logistics, and the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships.

Duties
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Source and procure materials and services necessary for production planning.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Work closely with production teams to forecast material needs and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.

Experience
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with a strong understanding of sourcing strategies.
• Familiarity with logistics processes and production planning is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical skills for assessing supplier performance and market conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
