A dynamic and artistic family in Soho, NYC, is seeking a fun and fresh professional nanny to care for their toddler child. Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional care for a toddler/kindergarten-age child, supporting developmental milestones and fostering a fun, engaging environment.
• Plan and execute creative and educational activities.
• Collaborate with parents to curate fun activities and outings.
• Maintain a calm and composed demeanor, even during occasional shifts in the work schedule.
• Travel with the family as needed, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for the child.
• Participate in the local nanny circle, building a network of support and resources.
• Adapt to the household’s relatively informal atmosphere.
Qualifications:
• At least five years of professional nanny experience with toddlers, with strong references.
• Must be a local to New York City.
• Comfortable and experienced in navigating the NYC environment.
• Past teacher is a plus but not a deal breaker.
• Engaging, fun, and light-hearted personality with a love for interesting and engaging activities.
• Ability to support developmental milestones and create educational activities.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to handle schedule changes with ease.
• Enjoys traveling and is easy to travel with.
• Must be passport-ready.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
• Comfortable with dogs.
• Must never get flustered, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
• Previous experience in a similar informal household setting is a plus.
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, roughly, guaranteed 40 hours per week, with occasional additional hours as needed.
• Flexibility for occasional shifts in the work week (40-60 hours a week depending on the week and travel).
• Opportunities for travel and cultural experiences both domestic and international.
Compensation/Benefits:
• $35- $40 an hour ( $90k- $110k ) Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week with potential for additional hours.
• 2 weeks Paid Vacation, Sick days, holidays, Metro Card, Full Medical Coverage
