Role
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Human Resources Director, to join our Aman family. Based at our Amangalla property the cluster role will oversee both our Sri Lankan properties, Amangalla and Amanwella. The Cluster Human Resources Director will lead Human Resources functions across both properties, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, and organizational development. Additionally, this role will be pivotal in managing budgeting, implementing sustainable practices, overseeing employee engagement initiatives, and developing a coaching culture to empower teams.
Responsibilities
• Strategic HR Leadership: Align HR strategies with business goals and lead the HR team to drive innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Budget Management: Develop and oversee the HR budget, analyze costs, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Compensation and Benefits: Conduct market benchmarking, manage pay structures, and ensure internal equity and competitiveness.
• Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and follow up on engagement surveys with actionable plans.
• Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability: Lead corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives aligned with company values.
• Employee Relations: Handle complex grievances and disciplinary cases while advising managers and ensuring legal compliance.
• Policy and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date employee policies and ensure adherence to local and national labor laws.
• Talent Development: Implement leadership and growth programs to support succession planning and employee development.
• Coaching Culture: Foster a coaching mindset across the organization to enhance managerial effectiveness and team performance.
• Human Resource Service Quality: Ensure high-quality, consistent Human Resource service delivery across all functions through mentoring and team leadership.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or Human Resource certification.
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resource experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a multi-unit or cluster setting.
• Proven expertise in compensation and benefits, employee relations, budget management, and employment law.
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading employee engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and drive change across a diverse organization.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
