Job Summary:
The NYC Department of Transportation is hiring workers to help collect money from parking meters across the five boroughs. You will drive to different locations, pick up money from meters, and help make sure all the parking equipment works properly.
What You’ll Do:

Collect money from parking meters across NYC

Load and unload collection equipment and supplies
-
Count and sort coins using machines
-
Keep records and prepare money for pick-up
-
Clean snow and debris around parking meters
-
Help fix and check parking equipment
-
Drive a city van and handle basic maintenance
-
Work outside in all weather conditions
-
Lift heavy bags and equipment
Requirements:
-
No education or experience needed
-
Must have a valid, unrestricted NY State driver’s license
-
Must be able to lift heavy items and work outdoors
Preferred Skills:
-
Clean driving record for 2+ years
-
Experience driving large vans around the city
