Job Description: Admissions Counselor – University of Alaska Anchorage

What You’ll Do:

Promote UAA to prospective students, families, and community groups through presentations, events, and outreach

Serve as the primary point of contact for students in an assigned recruitment territory from inquiry to enrollment

Travel in- and out-of-state for recruitment (including remote Alaska), manage travel logistics and expenses
-
Deliver excellent customer service in person, via phone, and by email in the Enrollment Services lobby

Support admissions operations and assist with special projects and campus initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Minimum two years’ experience in admissions, higher education, or customer service roles
-
Strong communication skills and public speaking experience
-
Ability to connect with diverse student populations, including first-generation and non-traditional students
-
Comfortable working with data, reporting tools, and CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus)
-
Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
-
Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel regularly
-
Unrestricted Alaska driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)

Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
